Private aviation solutions provider Magellan Jets has launched a jet card program specifically aimed at corporate users and named Magellan Business. It offers hourly rate locks for up to three years, 10 hour callouts and a service guarantee, with a 100 hour minimum annual commitment.

“Over recent months corporate travel has been coming back strong,” Anthony Tivnan, Magellan Jets President and Co-Founder told SherpaReport “With Magellan Business, we’ve given corporations all the tools they need to gain a competitive edge through their jet travel.”

With a minimum engagement of 100 hours annually, Magellan Business key features include:

  • Refundable deposits that never expire
  • Three-year term price lock
  • Multiple aircraft for daily use
  • Service guarantee
  • Guaranteed upgrades and downgrades (in cabin sizes)
  • 10-hour callout period for most days in year
  • Zero blackout days
  • All aircraft equipped with Wi-Fi

“Businesses often want cost predictability – which this gives them with just CPI increases,” said Anthony Tivnan. Noting that the program is backed by a key account manager and dedicated guest experience team. And all card deposits are held separately from Magellan’s operating funds, with optional escrow security.

This jet card program has 20 “advance booking days” – around the busiest travel days of the year such as major holidays - which have a 96-hour callout period.

During the pandemic, the amount of private jet business travel had dropped off significantly and personal leisure travel had soared, particularly as flyers looked to escape crowded cities. The launch of programs like Magellan Business is a clear sign that corporate travel is making a strong comeback.
